What is Borderline Personality Disorder?

Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) is characterized by emotional instability, impulsivity, and unstable relationships. Trauma, particularly during childhood, often plays a significant role in the development of BPD, influencing emotional regulation, self-image, and interpersonal functioning. Individuals with BPD may have experienced physical, sexual, or emotional abuse, neglect, or other adverse experiences.

Symptoms of Borderline Personality Disorder
