As we embrace our trials and tribulations by facing them head on, we begin to take responsibility for ourselves and our experiences in life. This can help foster a connection with the source of our power that builds resilience to manage whatever may come. By developing the resources needed to lead a life that is fulfilling and supportive of our overall well-being and it is an ever-evolving process that can be navigated with the help of a trusted professional.
By using a collaborative person-centred, culturally responsive, and trauma informed approach, I aim to empower people to improve their quality of life through authentic and systematic processes.
My lived experience helps me relate to my fellow members of the immigrant, BIPOC, and 2SLGBTQ+ communities, as well as those in polyamorous and Ethically Non-Monogamous (ENM) relationships. It is my top priority to hold a safe and non-judgemental space for you, where no topic is off limits. If your concern is not listed, but you think we may be a good fit, please do reach out!
In my personal time I enjoy cycling, swimming, and reading in my hammock. My creative outlets include writing, acting, and expressing the clown within. My happy place is a warm coastal beach.
If you think we would be a good fit, please contact me at lionel@thetherapyspace.co to schedule a free 15-minute phone consultation! I look forward to meeting you.

Community focus:
What is it like working with you?
Working with me is a collaborative process of building a safe container for all of who you are and what you experience, ‘the good, the bad, and the ugly.’ It is a highly individualized journey of self-discovery, growth, and transformation.
What do you like most about being a therapist?
As a psychotherapist I find the process of facilitating an improved quality of life for those in my care deeply fulfilling. This in turn provides reciprocal value by consistently connecting me to my core values of gratitude, growth, and service.
What are some ways you take care of your mental health?
- Practicing yoga, mindfulness, and exercising at least 4 days a week, healthy nutrition, and a commitment to hydration
- Living my life from a spiritual foundation, filled with gratitude
- Connecting regularly with my family and friends
- Personal development and growth through various resources
- Engaging in activities I find fulfilling, especially creative endeavours like acting, movement, and writing
- Swinging in my hammock or rocking in my gliding chair, lol
