I believe our life events shape us intowho we are today. We weren’t bornwith an inner critic, perfectionism, or people-pleasing tendencies! Somethinghappened in our lives that taught us those behaviours. Maybe we learned thatit’s less painful to avoid confrontation than to risk rejection or failure.Maybe we learned that to ensure safety, we must be hypervigilant, constantlylooking out for threats. Those behaviours likely helped you survive at onetime, but now, they might be causing chronic anxiety, difficulties in yourrelationships, and low self-esteem.

I will help you understand your emotionsand shift out of beliefs and coping behaviours that are no longer serving you. We’ll build a picture of how your past and present experiences are contributingto the issues you want to let go of. Therapy can help you process your experiencesand develop coping skills to manage your reactions and emotions.

I have experience supporting people withconcerns such as anxiety, trauma, relationship/attachment issues, self-esteem,depression, emotion regulation, borderline personality disorder,stress/burnout, and life transitions. Over the years, I have developed aspecialization in helping people recover from developmental and attachmenttrauma.

I’m also happy to share appropriate information about my own life if I think it will be helpful and relevant.

I love seeing my clients have an “aha”moment! I love helping clients learn new insights about themselves and use those insights to improve their lives.

What are some ways you take care of your mental health?

I do my own therapy and spend lots of quality time with my husband and my cat!
