Have you felt stuck? Or like there’s something you want to do but haven’t been able to? Life is full of challenges that leave us feeling overwhelmed and anxious. Whether you’re dealing with ADHD, relationship issues, a lack of confidence, life transitions, or other stresses, my goal is to help you rediscover balance and well-being.

Many of our struggles stem from underlying psychological processes and obstacles that hinder us from doing what we truly want. By addressing these issues, we can create meaningful change. Connection is a universal human need, and feeling disconnected from ourselves or others can significantly impact our mental health. My approach focuses on understanding these underlying processes and working together to create a clear, actionable plan to overcome them.

In our sessions, we'll explore the obstacles that are holding you back, whether they involve avoidance of emotions, lack of self-understanding, or negative thought patterns. I offer a supportive, non-judgmental space where we can work collaboratively to break down these barriers and foster genuine connections with yourself and others. I believe in showing up authentically in our sessions, creating a space where you can do the same.

Together, we will develop strategies tailored to your unique needs, helping you navigate life's complexities and achieve your goals. My aim is to empower you with the tools necessary to face life's challenges with confidence and resilience.

Taking the first step towards therapy can be daunting, but I'm here to support you every step of the way.

A little about me: In my free time I like to go to the beach or explore the city. Some of my hobbies are going to concerts, reading, and watching movies with friends.

If my profile has resonated with you, I invite you to book a free phone consult with me, so we can get to know each other a little better.

Q&A with Nathan Darnell

What is it like working with you?

In our sessions you can expect my unwavering support and an approach adapted to your specific needs. I aim to understand and assist you without rushing, valuing your well-being above all. Trust, compassion, and an open atmosphere define our sessions, where you’re free to be yourself without judgment. I deeply believe in your potential for growth and healing. There is no blanket way forward. Everyone’s path is different. Let’s find yours.

What do you like most about being a therapist?

I like getting to know people from all walks of life. Each of our lives are so distinctly unique, and yet, somehow our paths are crossing now. I believe that we are so much more than the labels assigned to us. It is truly an honour to be offered a glimpse into the depth of your life.

What are some ways you take care of your mental health?

The most important thing for my mental health is living authentically. When I sense a block, it affects both my mind and body, especially when I stray from actions aligned with my values. I follow a three-pronged approach: body, mind, and spirituality. Optimizing my body's functionality reduces stress and boosts energy. Engaging my mind through mindfulness, not just exercises but mindful living, is crucial. This means spending less time numbing my emotions. Spirituality, to me, is about finding meaning. It's about aligning actions with values, providing a deep sense of fulfillment. Spending time outdoors at the beach or in the forest has been essential, as has surrounding myself with supportive people who uplift and align with my goals.
